Nova Scotia Clean Technology for Agriculture


Due to high demand, as of February 18,2022 the Nova Scotia Clean Technology for Agriculture program is considered fully committed. If you submit an application, it will be placed on a wait list and reviewed if program funding becomes available.


The Nova Scotia Clean Technology for Agriculture Program focuses on strengthening food security for Nova Scotians by encouraging projects that increase year-round food production and offset food imports.


A farm that:
  • has a current Farm Registration
  • is an applicant at least 19 years of age
  • reports farming income & expenses that show gross commodity income of at least $30,000
An agri-business, agri-food processor or agriculture industry association that:
  • represents identifiable N.S. agriculture & agri-food product(s)
  • generates an annual gross income of $30,000 or demonstrates not-for-profit status
  • conducts value-added processing of a raw N.S. agriculture product, with a direct partnership & significant economic impact to the N.S. primary agricultural industry

Important dates:

  • Program Opening: April 1, 2021
  • Claim Deadline: 9 months from date of returned Letter of Agreement or January 31, 2023
